A 5,408-square-foot Glastonbury medical office building sold for $800,000 earlier this month.
The 41-year-old, brick building at 52 National Drive and 2.5 associated acres was sold by Fifty Two National Drive LLC to Claudio Vecchiarino in a sale logged March 11.
The principal of the selling limited liability company is David Hewett, of Andover, Conn. He is also owner of Adaptive Prosthetics & Orthodontics, a company that until recently operated a location inside 52 National Drive.
Last year, Lisa and David Hewett paid $1 million for a 21,000-square-foot office building on 5 acres at 90 National Drive.
A month ago, Hewett announced on his LinkedIn page, that following “a crazy 2021,” which delayed his company’s move, Adaptive is ready to move into its new 20,000-square-foot headquarters.
“The new space has room to accommodate our growing staff and business services, while having ample room for patient care,” Hewett wrote.
Reached Monday, Hewett said the move of Adaptive had nothing to do with the sale of 52 National Drive.
“Adaptive has nothing to do with it, it has no bearing on that sale,” Hewett said. “It was just something I didn’t want to keep.”
Hewett said Adaptive moved to 90 National Drive last year in order to accommodate its growing size.
