Glastonbury-based edu-tech company Finalsite has acquired Ohio-based SchoolPointe, which makes websites and mobile apps for K-12 public schools.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“With the acquisition of SchoolPointe, Finalsite has expanded our client base across the United States, helping even more districts meet the evolving needs and high expectations,” said Jon Moser, Finalsite’s founder and CEO.
The Glastonbury company announced the SchoolPointe acquisition a few months after it bought Austin, Texas-based digital enrollment management company SchoolAdmin.
Finalsite was founded in 1998, and over the years Finalsite expanded its digital services and reach in terms of the number of school districts that use its products. Finalsite now offers online portals for parents of K-12 students where they can receive all announcements from the school, communicate with teachers and even watch streaming sporting events and graduations.
