A Glastonbury company has been honored by a national recruiter for its commitment to hiring transitioning military veterans.
Glastonbury based Gemma Power Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Argan Inc., was awarded one of the first Orion International 25th Anniversary Challenge Coins for its commitment to hiring veterans for its workforce. More than 20 percent of the company’s workforce is veterans.
According to a statement from Gemma, coins are typically presented by unit commanders in recognition for special achievement, outstanding service or performance of duty. Gemma is an engineering, procurement and construction company for the power and renewable energy industry.
