Two well-known accounting firms in Connecticut have merged, bringing employees of both companies under one umbrella.
Glastonbury-based Fiondella, Milone & LaSaracina announced Wednesday that it had completed a merger with Bregman & Company, which has offices in Stamford and Avon.
Bregman & Company now operates as a division of FML, which has grown to more than 120 employees, including 18 partners and 42 certified public accountants. More hires are expected this year, the company said.
Bregman & Company, formed in 1977, specializes in providing tax and advisory services to closely held businesses and high-income and high-net-worth individuals.
“With this merger, FML can continue our trajectory of growth designed to capably serve the entire state of Connecticut and the surrounding areas,” said Jeff Fiondella, managing partner of FML.
FML, founded in 2002, has offices in Enfield, Stafford Springs, New Haven and Stamford. Last year, it was recognized by Inside Public Accounting as the 262nd largest accounting firm in the U.S. with $13.3 million in net revenue.
Bregman & Company founder Herb Bregman will continue to practice in the firm’s Stamford office.
