The American School for the Deaf has hired Shana Gibbs as director of diversity and special programs.
Gibbs will lead the development and implementation of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in alignment with the school’s mission and strategic plan. Gibbs will also oversee the school’s source interpreting program.
She has prior experience as a university lecturer and dual master’s degrees in deaf education and educational leadership and policy.
