Families can bounce around in a new attraction at the Connecticut Post Mall starting Friday, when a giant inflatable park debuts there.
California-based amusement company FUNBOX, which describes itself as the “World’s Biggest Bounce Park,” is expanding eastward with the new location in Milford.
The outdoor bounce park will only be at the mall through the summer, and will be removed after Labor Day.
The inflatable playground is about 25,000 square feet and features 10 play zones, including Tumble Temple, Marshmallow Mountain, Gumball’s Gallop and an obstacle course.
FUNBOX has parks in California, Colorado, Utah and Georgia. In addition to Milford, another outdoor park is slated to open at the Cape Cod Mall in Massachusetts later this month.
Antonio Nieves, the company’s founder, was once in the foster care system and aims to help other foster children. The Milford FUNBOX will support the Connecticut Alliance of Foster & Adoptive Families, which helps foster youth through support, training and advocacy.
“We believe that every child deserves a happy childhood, and we’re committed to doing our part to make that a reality,” Nieves said.
The Milford FUNBOX will be open Tuesdays through Sundays from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. For ticket information, visit www.funbox.com.
