Winsted-based Northwest Community Bank has promoted two of its own, to senior-level management positions within the company.
John E. Gergots has been named senior vice president and chief lending officer of the bank, while Deborah A. Kane has been appointed vice president and the head of the credit risk department.
In his new role Gergots, who has been with the bank since 2006 when he was named vice president and commercial lending officer, will assume management of the bank’s commercial loan and residential mortgage departments.
Prior to his new appointment, Gergots was the department manager of commercial lending at the bank.
Kane, who joined the bank part-time in 2000 as a credit analyst, became full-time in August 2008, and was promoted to an assistant vice president in December 2007.
Northwest Community Bank is a mutually owned state-chartered bank, with branches in Avon, East Granby, Granby, New Hartford, Torrington, and Winsted.
