Tolland manufacturer Gerber Scientific Inc.’s impending $282 million buyout that will take it private means its days on the Standard & Poor’s SmallCap 600 Index are numbered.
S&P announced that once the buyout by Vector Capital is complete Gerber loses its place to Tennant Co.
The index tracks only publicly traded firms.
Meantime, iRobot Corp. will replace EMS Technologies Inc. after the close of trading on Friday, Honeywell International is acquiring EMS.
