South Windsor manufacturer Gerber Scientific Inc. said today the previously announced sale of its German laser marking and engraving business to Videojet Technologies Inc. is complete.
Terms were not disclosed. But Gerber said proceeds will be used to reduce outstanding debt and for general corporate purposes.
Gerber’s precision cutting machines are used to make signs, clothing and optical lenses.
Videojet, a Wood Dale, Ill., manufacturer of laser markers and engravers, will consolidate Gerber’s FOBA Technology + Services GmbH unit into its ALLTEC GmbH laser unit in Germany.
