A Georgia man could face a year in prison at his sentencing Wednesday in federal court in Hartford for mailing threats to ESPN’s Connecticut offices, the Associated Press reports.
Evan P. Chaggaris of Atlanta is accused of mailing about 24 letters to ESPN that contained threats to injure or kill certain ESPN personalities, the AP said. The letters were sent between September 2011 and June 2012.
Chaggaris faced the same charge in 2006, when he was sentenced to five years of probation, according to the AP.
