Generation Y aspires to financial security

Practicality has outpaced idealism for Generation Y, which is the latest group of individuals to enter the work force.

In a new survey from Robert Half, more than 1,000 people ages 21 to 28 were asked to cite their number one career concern for the future, and 33 percent ranked financial security at the top of their list.

Twenty-six percent said job stability, and career satisfaction came in third, with 23 percent saying that was their biggest concern.
