Geissler’s Supermarket will permanently close its location in South Windsor on July 17, the grocery chain announced on Facebook.
“We’re incredibly grateful to our South Windsor customers and team for all the support over the years. It’s been our honor to be part of this community,” the company said in the post.
The store, at 965 Sullivan Ave., had been open for 37 years.
Geissler’s, a family owned business now in its fourth generation, has other stores in Bloomfield, East Windsor, Somers, Granby, Windsor and Agawam, Massachusetts.

Geissler’s opened its first location in the East Windsor village of Broad Brook in 1923.
