GE Oil & Gas picked up $190 million worth of contracts with Brazil, Italy and Great Britain while the Fairfield congolmerate also picked up a deal to provide wind turbines in Spain.
The Oil & Gas subsidiary was awarded $120 million to overhaul nine gas turbines along the Trans Europa Naturgas Pipeline running across Germany to the Swiss border; got $50 million for subsea wellhead and tool installations for Petrobras’ offshore drilling operations in Brazil; and received $20 million for subsea tree and wellhead installations for Maersk Oil’s offshore drilling operations in the North Sea off Scotland.
GE also signed a 10-year agreement with Spanish wind developer Cobra Energia to provide advanced services for 178 GE wind turbines installed at eight wind farms across Spain, the largest such contract for wind services in Europe.
