Fairfield conglomerate General Electric established a critical power business to supply electricity to mission-critical facilities.
The new business provides power to industries such as data centers, health care, financial markets, and telecommunication that can’t have their 24/7 stream of electricity interrupted.
GE Critical Power, headquartered in Plano, Texas, will provide power-switching products, energy systems, and embedded power supplies to these industries.
GE Capital is partnering with the new business to provide financing for these new products.
