Gaylord Specialty Healthcare, a nonprofit based in Wallingford, has hired Chris Hayes to serve as its new chief financial officer.
Hayes, a Cheshire resident, previously served as vice president of finance at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, a role he had since 2017. While at Saint Mary’s, Hayes was responsible for accounting, budgeting, productivity management, supply chain and revenue cycle.
At Gaylord, Hayes is replacing retiring CFO Arthur Tedesco, who has been in the role for the past seven years.
Sonja LaBarbera, Gaylord’s president and CEO, called Hayes a “wonderful addition” to its leadership team.
“I look forward to working with him on Gaylord’s strategic initiatives related to growth and innovation,” LaBarbera said.

Theresa LaRock
Union Savings Bank, based in Danbury, has hired Theresa LaRock as a residential mortgage loan originator.
Meanwhile, Jordan Sanford has been promoted to residential mortgage loan originator at the bank.

LaRock will educate customers about the bank’s mortgage products and guide them through the lending process.
