Former GE and Timex human-resources officer Bernard Garrigues is the new human resources chief at Waterbury’s Webster Bank.
Garrigues replaces Jennifer Buchholz, herself a former General Electric HR officer who left the bank in late 2013 after only a year to pursue other opportunities, a spokeswoman said. He reports to President Joe Savage.
Garrigues most recently was HR chief at Middlebury watch-jewelry maker Timex Group
Before that, he spent 21 years in HR at Fairfield-based General Electric’s various business units in the U.S. and Europe.
The Stamford resident is a graduate of France’s University of Montpellier, with degrees in employee relations and law.
He is a published author, a seasoned guest lecturer, and holds a Green Belt certification in Six Sigma philosophies and principles.
