Fusco named EPA Energy Star Leader

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has named New Haven development administration firm Fusco Management as Connecticut’s first Energy Star Leader in commercial projects.

Fusco is the third Energy Star Leader in Connecticut overall, the other two being Weston and Plymouth school districts.

To be eligible for the recognition, firms must demonstrate a commitment to energy efficiency and track and submit energy performance data for all buildings and fuel sources.

More than 75 percent of the properties owned and managed by Fusco have achieved Energy Star status for their efficient operations. The company has improved energy efficiency in its buildings by 7 percent, and in 2011, saved more than $450,000 through these improvement measures.
