Greenwich insurer W. R. Berkley Corp. formed an excess casualty insurance unit that will be run by insurance-industry veteran Michael P. Fujii.
As president, Fujii will lead Berkley Custom Insurance Managers LLC, based in Stamford, focused on underwriting on behalf of Berkley member insurance companies.
Fujii has more than 35 years in the specialty property casualty insurance industry, including more than 20 years as a senior executive. He previously was president and CEO of Endurance Worldwide Insurance Ltd.
He holds a B.S. from Loyola University of Los Angeles.
