FuelCell leasing biogas in California

Danbury’s FuelCell Energy said renewable biogas it’s leasing from an anaerobic digester facility in California will power a 2.8-megawatt fuel cell plant in that state.

FuelCell recently signed a purchase agreement for the biogas with the city of Tulare. The renewable and carbon-neutral power produced by the fuel cell, located at a wastewater treatment facility, will be sold to utility Southern California Edison under a 20-year agreement.
