FuelCell Energy CEO Chip Bottone received $995,519 in total compensation in 2013, a 4 percent increase over his 2012 compensation, according to a regulatory filing.
The Securities & Exchange Commission filing in advance of the Danbury fuel cell manufacturer’s annual meeting lists Bottone’s 2013 salary at $386,355, his stock awards at $360,000, and his bonus at $247,212.
Bottone became CEO and president of the company in February 2011. This year, his annual salary will increase to $404, 200.
FuelCell’s two other named executive officers – Chief Financial Officer Michael Bishop and Chief Operating Officer Anthony Rauseo – had total compensation of $506,292 and $600,233, respectively last year.
The six non-employee members of the FuelCell board of directors received between $65,500 and $85,500 in 2013, depending on their participation on committees.
At its annual meeting, FuelCell will ask its shareholders to increase its shares of stock from 275 million to 400 million, presumably to raise more capital through stock issuances.
