Frontier posts 4Q loss

Norwalk-based Frontier Communications Corp. said its fourth-quarter profits decreased 119 percent in part because of expenses related to acquisition interest and integration costs.

The telecommunications company said its fourth quarter net income was a net loss of $103 million, or 9 cents per share, compared to a profit of $14 million, or 1 cent per share, in the same quarter a year ago.

For all of 2015, Frontier posted a loss of $196 million, or a loss of 18 cents per share, compared to a profit of $133 million, or 13 cents per share, in 2014.

The company continues to face declines in its residential voice customers and business customers compared to the previous quarter.
