Frontier hires CT boss

Frontier Communications has appointed a regional president who will oversee Connecticut and two other states, if regulators approve the Stamford company’s $2 billion acquisition of AT&T’s Connecticut wireline and video business.

Kenneth Arndt is president of Frontier’s east region, which will be headquartered in New Haven and will include Pennsylvania and New York. Arndt will be based in New Haven, Frontier said.

Arndt, a Milford resident, most recently oversaw operations in New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia. Frontier is shifting the latter two states into its Mid-Atlantic region. Following Frontier’s acquisition of Verizon assets in 14 states in 2010, Arndt managed integration in North Carolina, South Carolina and West Virginia. He has been with the company since 2003.

He will report to Daniel J. McCarthy, president and chief operating officer.
