Frontier Communications said the Federal Communications Commission has approved its proposed $10.5 billion acquisition of Verizon’s internet, cable and landline assets in three states.
The deal includes 3.7 million voice connections, 2.2 million broadband connections and 1.2 FiOS video connections in California, Florida and Texas.
The FCC approval follows the Federal Trade Commission’s sign off in May.

Frontier and Verizon first announced the proposed deal in February.
They expect to close the sale, which still needs approval from California and Texas regulators, by March 2016.
