Connecticut banker Julie Fritz has jumped to Wells Fargo Bank, to lead its middle-market lending division in this state, authorities say.
Based in Shelton, Fritz, previously with rival JP Morgan Chase in Connecticut, will manage Wells Fargo’s 12-member team of calling officers prospecting statewide for business borrowers with sales in the $2 million to $20 million range.
She reports to Ron Coccaro, Wells Fargo’s New York/Connecticut business banking area manager.
Fritz succeeds Barbara Harding, who took a similar post on the bank’s Wyoming turf, a bank spokesman said Thursday. Wells Fargo has 73 branches stores and 100 ATMs in Connecticut.
Fritz previously ran a Connecticut business banking team for Chase, where she spent 14 years. She also has prior experience in retail banking in sales and as a branch manager, officials said.
She graduated with a business administration degree from New York’s Ithaca College.
