Employers looking to hire can take advantage of an upgraded and free website to post jobs to a statewide community-college audience.
Through the Connecticut Community Colleges Jobs Consortium website, powered by College Central Network Inc., employers can register once and post an unlimited number of jobs to Connecticut’s community-college students and alumni.
Employers can reach thousands of job seekers from eight community colleges: Capital Community College, Housatonic Community College, Manchester Community College, Middlesex Community College, Naugatuck Valley Community College, Quinebaug Valley Community College, Three Rivers Community College and Tunxis Community College.
Joy Miller, the network’s Career Services Central national sales manager, said employers will typically post jobs with their closest community college.
“With the consortium, employers can easily extend their reach,” Miller said in an announcement. “Posting just once, they can go statewide or target a specific combination of regional Connecticut community colleges.”
Antony Wormack, director of the Center for Job Placement at Naugatuck Valley Community College said most other job boards charge employers high fees.
“Only our Connecticut Community Colleges Jobs Consortium gives employers a direct path to our combined community colleges career centers and talent.”
