New Haven restaurant Sally’s will be offering free pizza to health professionals Tuesday to show appreciation for all their work during the pandemic.
The offer is valid on Tuesday, Nov. 24 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Doctors, nurses and EMT workers can get a free small or medium pizza with toppings of their choice.

“With Thanksgiving coming up, who deserves thanks more than nurses and doctors – working overtime to care for our community?” said Rob Nelson, the restaurant’s director of operations, in an announcement. “We appreciate their grit and hard work, and on Tuesday, we’d like to give a little something back.”
According to Nelson, the hope is that the event, “in some small way helps our heroes power through these difficult times.”
The Wooster Street establishment had a similar offer this past Labor Day. The restaurant has been a city staple for over eight decades, as it was first established by Salvatore “Sally” Consiglio in 1938.
