To drum up shoppers for the city’s Winterfest Celebration, the Hartford Parking Authority will offer free parking on streets around Bushnell Park at certain times from Nov. 29 to Feb. 1, it announced.
The free parking starts Nov. 29 at noon on the following streets: Elm Street from Trinity Street to Hudson Street, Jewell Street from Trumbull Street to Trinity Street and Trinity Street from Elm Street to Jewell Street.
Weekday parking will be free from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. starting Dec. 2 and ending Jan. 31.
Parking bans between 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Jewell and Trinity Streets will be lifted from Nov. 29 to Feb. 1. Restrictions will remains in effect on Elm Street.
On-street parking will remain free after 6 p.m. on weeknights and all day on weekends.
