Branford’s Stony Creek Brewery will add a brewpub inside Foxwoods Resort Casino this summer, the company said Tuesday.
The new outlet will be the company’s second brewing operation in Connecticut.
Stony Creek founder Ed Crowley Sr. called the development a chance to “put Connecticut craft beer on a bigger map.”
“Together with Foxwoods, we can create a truly special place unique to craft beer, something that can act as a sort of postcard of [visitors’] time in Connecticut,” Crowley said.
Brewmaster Andy Schwartz said the full-fledged casino brewery will surprise and please patrons.
“It’s a chance for them to see the place where beer is made,” he said.
The 7,100-square-foot, two-story space, located adjacent to the Fox Theater, will include a ground floor New England-style area that includes a beer garden and communal areas for backyard games and socializing. The upstairs bar will offer another version of the “aggressively laid back” style of Stony Creek — a nightlife.
