Foxwoods slot revenues up 32%

Foxwoods Resort Casino reported slot revenues of $29.7 million in March, its highest monthly take since July 2020.

Slot machine earnings were up 32% from February and up 21% from January, suggesting a sizeable increase in visitors likely emboldened by the rollout of vaccines against COVID-19.

Foxwoods in March resumed live entertainment with the reopening of its Grand Theater.

Also last month, the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, which operates Foxwoods, and the Mohegan Tribal Nation signed an agreement with Gov. Ned Lamont on sports betting and online gambling in Connecticut. The three-way pact is considered an important step toward ultimately legalizing expanded gaming options in the state.
