Foxwoods’ Shrine club ranks in Top 100

Connecticut night club Shrine at MGM Grand at the Foxwoods Resort Casino near Ledyard has been ranked No. 29 on Nightclub & Bar’s Top 100 for 2011, the only New England club to rank.

Nightclub & Bar, an industry publication, ranked the Top 100 clubs in America based mostly on revenue.

Shrine’s revenue is in the $10 million to 15 million range, and is also the top grossing club in the Northeast. Butter in New York City is second in the Northeast, at No. 30.

The nation’s top two clubs — XS Nightclub and Tao, both in Las Vegas — generate $60 million to $70 million each annually, the magazine reports.

“The honor is a true credit to our loyal customers and staff, who keep the venue at the forefront of the hospitality industry with exciting promotions, excellent customer service and stellar operations,” Shrine partner Ed Kane said in a statement.
