AAA honored 11 Greater Hartford and eastern Connecticut restaurants and hotels with its Four Diamond Award, giving facilities at Foxwoods five of those awards.
Foxwoods in Mashantucket earned the Four Diamond Award for three of its hotels – MGM Grand, The Villas at Foxwoods and Grand Pequot Tower – and for two of its restaurants – Craftsteak and Paragon.
The four other hotels earning awards were Marriott Hartford Downtown, Mohegan Sun resort casino in Uncasville, Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa in Groton, and Saybrook Point Inn & Spa in Old Saybrook.
Marriott Hartford Downtown has received the award for 11 consecutive years.

The two other restaurants with the Four Diamond rankings were the Octagon in Groton and Still River Café in Eastford.
