Foxwoods’ next new game: Bowling

Foxwoods Resort Casino is catering to a new type of high roller.

The casino, located on the Mashantucket Reservation near Ledyard, known for its gaming, dining, spas and golf, is now adding bowling to its list of entertainment offerings.

The company announced Thursday that “High Rollers,” a multi-faceted bowling and entertainment complex, will open in the Grand Pequot Tower at Foxwoods this summer. No price tag was disclosed.

The 35,000-square-foot facility is the brainchild of Boston-based Big Night Entertainment, and will feature 20 lanes, including six VIP lanes, and full food and beverage service.

“High Rollers will add yet another element to Foxwoods’ plethora of leisure activities, and will certainly enhance the Foxwoods guest experience,” said Michael Speller, president of Mashantucket Pequot Gaming Enterprises.

The facility will also feature eight professional Brunswick Gold Crown billiard tables; a bar menu created by award-winning chef Kevin Long; two-level lounge, with piano, fireplace and a 50-seat custom marble bar; and state of the art audio-visual equipment, including more than 50 large-screen, high-definition TVs.
