The winning continues in 2016 for the state’s two Native American casinos. For the second month in a row, both showed large year-over-year increases in slots revenue.
Mohegan Sun reported February slots revenue of $48.4 million, up from $42.1 million in Feb. 2015. Its handle of $587.7 million was up $79.5 million, a 15.6 percent increased compared to a $508.2 million handle a year ago.
Foxwoods Resort Casino reported slot revenue of $36.2 million for the month of Feb. 2016. This figure is up 14.7 percent compared to $31.6 million in February of 2015. Its handle, the total bet on slots, for the month was $441.3 million, up 15.3 percent from the $382.9 million wagered in the same month in 2015.
