Foxwoods Resort Casino is opening a new retail development.
Great Cedar Gallery Shops is described as a curated, “gallery-inspired” retail concept. It will feature multiple storefronts located in the casino’s Great Cedar concourse, between the Great Cedar casino and the Rainmaker area of the resort.
The brands hosted by the development include LEGO, Barbie, Sur La Table, Martha Stewart, Hasbro, Naked Sundays and Grown Alchemist.
The Great Cedar Concourse is the location for several quick service and casual dining options including ramen and sushi restaurant Momosan, which opened there last summer.
Foxwoods is celebrating its 34th anniversary this year and has been adding both gaming and non-gaming updates to counter regional competition provided by new casino developments in the Massachusetts and New York markets. Last year those also included the Great Wolf Lodge waterpark and hotel.
Foxwoods plans to host a public ribbon-cutting for the Great Cedar Gallery Shops on Friday, July 31.
