Foxwoods announces $30M in new renovations to hotel, table games; addition of live music lounge

Foxwoods Resort Casino announced several new projects for 2024, including a renovation of its high-limit table games room, a new 30-seat slots bar in the Grand Pequot Tower and a makeover of The Fox Tower hotel.

Jason Guyot, president and CEO of Foxwoods, announced the projects Thursday during a celebration of the resort-casino’s 32nd anniversary.

“As we celebrate the 32nd anniversary, I am thrilled that we are continuing to move closer towards realizing the full potential and vision for our property,” Guyot said. “The projects we are announcing in 2024 are a testament to Foxwoods’ ongoing commitment to pushing the boundaries of possibility with our resort casino.”

The Fox Tower’s upgrade involves “a renewed look encompassing a sleek, contemporary design with gold accents and illuminated lighting.”

New businesses are also coming to Foxwoods this year.

This spring, Food Network star Chef Zac Young is set to open Sprinkletown Donuts & Ice Cream, featuring a menu with customizable donuts and ice cream sundaes. Young is recognized as one of the country’s top pastry chefs.

Also, a modern-day supper club and live music lounge, called Grace by Nia, is set to debut at the Grand Pequot Tower this year. It will be the second Grace by Nia location; the other is in Boston.

The lounge will feature live entertainment including performances by local jazz, R&B, soul and hip-hop artists.

Foxwoods, which opened on Feb. 15, 1992, has contributed more than $4.5 billion in slot revenue to the state.

The renovations announced Thursday represent an investment of about $30 million.

Meanwhile, construction of the Great Wolf Lodge – a $300 million indoor water park resort – remains underway. It’s expected to open in 2025.
