Foxwoods Resort Casino is opening a new VIP Players Lounge this summer, another renovation project the company has announced for 2022.
The VIP Players Lounge will open later this year in the former Veranda Café. According to information from the casino, the renovated space will have more than 225 seats, a new buffet line and a 15-seat bar.
In addition to announcing the new lounge, Foxwoods officials said the Sushi By Bou restaurant is now open. In addition to a regular dining space, the restaurant offers a private sushi dining experience with a “Sushi Suite” in the Great Cedar Hotel. Per Foxwoods, the restaurant features high-quality fish, craft cocktails and imported drinks.
Foxwoods officials also announced the reopening of Wingstop at the Great Cedar food court and the grand opening of CardVault, a retail store where customers can buy, sell and trade sports cards and collectibles.
The casino is also adding an employee-only food court to the property that can host up to 325 staff members at once. Design plans for that project are being developed.
Foxwoods announced in February it’s transforming its old bingo hall into the Rainmaker Expo Center, a 75,000-square-foot event space that will be able to host everything from trade shows to sporting events. It also unveiled plans for a new High Stakes Bingo Hall as well as the Great Wolf Lodge at Mashantucket, an indoor water park.
