Paraco Gas has named Connecticut businessman Steven A. Fournier to its Board of Directors.
Paraco Gas is a family owned and operated propane company, primarily serving the Northeast region in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and Connecticut. The company services over 80,000 residential and commercial customers, and is a partner in a propane cylinder distribution business. It is based in Rye, N.Y., with Connecticut operations in Broad Brook, Essex and Stratford.
The selection of Fournier and Dennis E. Glazer of Westchester County, N.Y., represent the first non-family members to become directors.
Fournier, chairman and CEO of Gar Kenyon Aerospace & Defense, has experience in operations and finance, as well as mergers and acquisitions. He is a certified public accountant; a former partner at Deloitte, Haskins and Sells, and previously served as president and COO of a diversified privately held real estate and manufacturing holding company.
He serves on the Greater Waterbury Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and executive committee, as well as the Board of Directors of the Naugatuck Chamber of Commerce.
Glazer, a business lawyer and strategic counselor, is director of AppOrchard LLC, an Internet development company; chairman of the board of Lawrence Hospital Center and vice chairman of Stellaris Health Network.
