Westbrook, Madison, Sharon, and Brookfield each kicked off energy efficiency campaigns this week.
The towns are encouraging residents to enroll in Energize Connecticut’s Home Energy Solutions program, which offers efficiency services to homeowners like light bulb replacement, weather-stripping, and equipment upgrade recommendations.
The cost of the Home Energy Solutions audit typically is $99, with the fee waived for low-income residents.
In exchange for residents signing up for the program, the efficiency companies will donate $25 to a charitable cause in each town, like the Sharon Community Foundation.
