Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Wins Statewide Industry Awards
Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England Properties was recently selected for two awards by the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Connecticut (HOBI). Gary Emerito, a sales associate, was named New Home Sales Manager of the Year. Johnnycake Mountain (a development site) was named for Best Community Web Site.
The HOBI awards recognize excellence in new construction, land development, remodeling, sales and marketing and home financing.
Hartford Zoning Code Wins 5 Major Awards
The city of Hartford's recently re-drafted zoning code has received five major awards in recognition of its innovative provisions that prioritize both economic development and environmental sustainability.
The awards included: The Capital Region Council of Government's 2016 Sustainability Award; The Connecticut Chapter of the American Planning Association Transformative Planning Award; The Connecticut Economic Resource Center Economic Development Project of the Year Award; The Connecticut Conference of Municipalities Inaugural Sustainability Award; and the New England Chapter of the Congress of New Urbanism 2016 Urbanism Award.
