West Hartford’s SCIO Health Analytics is one of four Greater Hartford firms named to Inc.’s 2017 list of the fastest 5,000 growing companies in the U.S.
First on the list nationwide is mobile-gaming platform Skillz of San Francisco with a growth rate of 50,059 percent.
Of the 34 in the state to make the list, the four Hartford area companies are ranked in the middle to the end of the pack, but have growth rates of between 46.7 percent (design and engineering firm CME Associates of East Hartford) and 111 percent (specialty auto parts retailer eEuroparts.com of Windsor). CME Associates ranks 4,779 and eEuroparts.com ranks 2,988.
SCIO Health Analytics ranks 4,736 with a growth rate of 47.8 percent. The firm, celebrating its 10th anniversary Thursday, says this is the sixth consecutive year the company has made the list.
The fourth IT services firm in the region to make the list, IT Direct of West Hartford, is ranked 4,401 with a growth rate of 57.8 percent.
Inc.’s annual list also includes statistics for the fastest-growing industries (travel and hospitality, 201 percent growth rate), the fastest-growing state (California, with 670 companies); and the fastest-growing metro area (New York City, with 355 companies).
