The former location of a Westport bakery and cafe has exchanged hands for $2.6 million, according to property records.
Portchester, New York-based Simon Fox Properties bought the two-story building, at 44 Church Lane, in June from David Adam Realty, doing business as BW Church LLC. The 0.2-acre-property also includes a two-story, 2,830-square-foot building containing two apartments.
David Adam Realty is a prominent Westport-based development firm owned by David Waldman. It owns 13 commercial properties in Westport, according to its website. It also owns properties in Avon, New Canaan, Norwalk, Shelton, Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey, and Philadelphia.
“Sale was a strategic decision to capitalize on investor interest in mixed-use properties in downtown Westport,” Waldman told the Hartford Business Journal.
The retail building housed Saratoga Springs, New York-based Mrs. London’s Bakery & Cafe from 2022 to May 2025. Maman, a New York City-based bakery chain, bought the business in May with plans to open a new location in the space, CT Insider reported. It was previously occupied by Aux Delices, another bakery and cafe, from 2017 to 2022.
Emails to Simon Fox Properties or Maman were not immediately returned.
