Private investor TJK Associates owns the three-story building that opened in 1995.
CuraGen was acquired for $96 million in a merger with Celldex Therapeutics Inc., of Needham, Mass., in October 2009. Both were involved in genetics research to develop drugs that treat cancer and other diseases.
Broker New Haven Group Inc. is marketing the property for undisclosed prices and terms to one or more tenants.
Ex-CU branch cum church
A former New Britain branch office for Nutmeg State Federal Credit Union has sold for $275,000 to a congregation that intends to use it as a church, authorities say.
Iglesia Lirio De Los Valles bought the 6,764-square-foot building on 0.56 acres at 55 Curtis St.
Century 21 Clemens & Sons Realty, Commercial Division, was sole broker in the deal.
W. Hartford Subway due
A 1,040-square-foot building at 949 New Britain Ave. in West Hartford’s Elmwood section has sold for $341,600 to a new owner who plans a Subway fast-food restaurant.
Raj Patel bought the free-standing building, adjacent to Price Rite Supermarket, that was formerly The Spot breakfast, lunch and sandwich shop from Randy Parks LLC.
Century 21 Clemens & Sons was the sole broker.
Branford lease-to-buy
Eastern Relocation Services Inc. signed a five-year lease with a purchase option on an office building at 14 Beaver Road in Branford.
The 24,600-square-foot, free-standing structure is on a 4-acre lot. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.
Kathleen Murphy and Dennis Knapp are principals in the business that provides moving and storage facilities, specializing in storing personal belongings for deployed military personnel.
Beaver Road Properties, LLC is landlord.
The Geenty Group, Realtors was sole broker in the deal.
Somers building sold
A 48,000-square-foot Somers industrial building that houses operations for solar-equipment maker STR Solar has been sold.
24 Scitico Rd LLC bought the property at the eponymous Somers address from Scitico LLC for an undisclosed price.
RM Bradley Brokerage Co. represented the seller and CBRE represented the buyer.
Rocky Hill Pediatrics opens
Rocky Hill Pediatrics has completed design and construction of its 4,675-square-foot medical office at 1084 Cromwell Ave. in Rocky Hill.
Physicians Kate Litwin and Jennifer Schwab are the practitioners.
