A former factory in Thomaston has been listed for sale with a price of $2.25 million.
The 48,134-square-foot, three-story building was home to Drawn Metal & Tube Co., which made drawn metal tubing in the facility from its founding in 1937 until its closure in 2017. Calls to the company, which still has a website, were not immediately returned.
The property is owned by Drawn Metal Tube Co, according to the town’s property records. The building, which was built in 1900, and the 0.97-acre parcel it sits on, are appraised at $697,500 and assessed at $488,250.
The property has been listed for $2.25 million for the past 43 days, according to commercial real estate website Crexi.
Reno Properties Group, a Newington-based commercial real estate broker representing the seller, calls the property “a great development opportunity” in a flyer. It also said it is “ideal for multifamily redevelopment or self-storage conversion.”
