Former DOT commissioner lands job as executive at consulting firm

The state’s former commissioner of the Department of Transportation, Joseph Giulietti, has landed a job with a global infrastructure consulting firm based in San Francisco, TYLin.

TYLin announced Tuesday that Giulietti has been named vice president and director of rail transit services.

Giulietti led the state DOT for four years, and before that, was president of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s Metro-North Railroad.

Giulietti will help lead the firm’s business development and growth strategy in the rail and transit sector, the company said in an announcement.
