Television executive Richard Graziano has been named vice president and general manager of WTNH-TV, WCTX-TV and associated digital services, effective immediately, news station owner Nexstar Media Group announced.
Formerly publisher of the Hartford Courant, Graziano most recently served as president and general manager of the Tribune Co.’s WPIX-TV in New York, where he led teams and marketing and digital initiatives, Nexstar said. He also negotiated broadcast rights for Yankees and Mets baseball games there.
Graziano left the Courant, a Tribune Co. publication, in late 2013.
Graziano will report to Doug Davis, senior vice president and regional manager of Nexstar Broadcasting. Davis noted Graziano’s 10 years in the Hartford-New Haven market and called him a professional with a “results-oriented focus and entrepreneurial approach” that will enhance the Connecticut ABC affiliate station’s broadcast, digital and mobile services.
