Problems for distressed homeowners have finally started to ease. Latest foreclosure data released today by RealtyTrac shows foreclosure filings were down 8 percent in September nationally. In Connecticut, September filings were down nearly 37 percent compared to August. They were down three quarters of a percent compared to September a year ago.
