FOODSHARE RUN BEATS GOAL

More than 4,000 people came out in support of Foodshare’s 28th annual Walk Against Hunger on May 1 Their efforts resulted in raising $538,000 — $8,000 over Foodshare’s goal — to help fight hunger in Greater Hartford. The fundraising success will provide agencies like Hands on Hartford, the Farmington Food Pantry and The Friendship Service Center with much-needed resources for the summer months when demand for feeding school-aged children increases.
