The Shops at Yale will host its 4th annual Appetizer & Dessert Crawl fundraiser, which will benefit a local animal shelter.
The event will be held Sunday, May 7 from noon to 4 p.m. at The Shops at Yale on Broadway with 14 appetizer and dessert stops from some of New Haven’s most popular restaurants, including Ashley’s Ice Cream, Pacifico, Anchor Spa and Shake Shack.
Tickets are available for $20 each, plus processing fees, and include free parking at the 150 York Street garage.
Proceeds from the event will benefit The Robin I. Kroogman New Haven Animal Shelter.Â
The Shops at Yale to date has donated more than $10,000 to the shelter from food crawl proceeds.Â
Check-in times for the Appetizer & Dessert Crawl are from noon to 1 p.m. on Broadway Island, across from J.Crew. Those who purchase tickets on or before April 28 will automatically be entered to win a $100 card to lululemon or Villa Lulu restaurant.
Ticket holders will also have the opportunity to meet dogs up for adoption. The Friends of the New Haven Animal Shelter will be at Broadway Island from noon to 4 p.m. the same day as the event. They will have dogs for adoption, and information regarding cats and other animals. Free dog caricatures will be available from noon to 4 p.m., along with art for sale from local artists at a pop-up art market.
Free parking is available to those who visit the dog adoption event, and people are asked to bring their parking ticket from the garage to check-in to be validated.
