Avon’s iDevices LLC, which makes app-enabled cooking thermometers and probes, said it plans to unveil in January its first “smart-home” product compatible with Apple’s soon-to-launch home automation mobile framework, HomeKit.
iDevices said Apple selected it earlier this year to develop the product, which spurred iDevices to spend $10 million on development.
iDevices said it will reveal the product on Jan. 5 at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The company did not give any hints as to what the product might be.
The company raised $4.3 million in late January from several investors, including Connecticut Innovations.
