A Florida investor has bought a retail property along a busy road in Westport for $2.5 million, according to property and state records.
Jeffrey Carp, of Palm Beach, Florida, doing business as KBR Investments LLC, has purchased the one-story, 8,820-square-foot building, at 224-238 Post Road E., from Henry Von Kohorn, of Princeton, New Jersey, doing business as Imperial Plaza LLC. Kohorn bought the building, which sits on a 0.42-acre parcel, for 1.57 million in 2003.
Attempts to reach Karp were unsuccessful.
The brick building, which was built in 1920, contains five retail spaces, property records show. It has a 4,167-square-foot basement area and 22 parking spaces on 8,500 square feet of paving.
The property was assessed at $2.95 million and appraised at $2.07 million in 2024, according to property records.
